              Scholar Programs at the State/Provincial Level

              1. National 1000 Talents Plan: Recruitment Program for Global Experts (full-time and short-term)Applicants should be under the age of 55 and hold position of full professorship (or equivalent), senior engineer/technology expert roles in high-level overseas universities/institutions. Successful applicants for short-term positions should work at the OUC for a minimum of 2 months per year.

                

              2. National 1000 Talents Plan: Recruitment Program for Young Experts (full-time)

              Applicants should be under the age of 40 and have a PhD degree with overseas research experience of over 3 years and demonstrate a strong potential to make future achievements.

                

              3. National 1000 Talents Plan: Recruitment Program for Overseas Experts (full-time & short-term)Applicants should be under the age of 65 and be foreign citizens of no Chinese origin internationally recognized as experts who hold professorships (or equivalent) senior engineer/technology positions in overseas universities/institutions. And successful applicants should be able to work in China for at least 3 consecutive years and no less than 2 months a year for short-term positions.

                

              4. Chang Jiang Scholars Program of the State Ministry of Education

              Distinguished Professor (full-time)

              Candidates of natural sciences & engineering should be under the age of 45, and those of social sciences should be under the age of 55.

              Young Expert (full-time)

              Applicants should demonstrate leading excellence in research programs and great potentials for future development. Candidates of natural sciences and engineering should be under the age of 38, and under 45 for those of social sciences.

                

              5. Taishan Scholars Program for Outstanding Experts, Shandong Province

              Distinguished Professor (full-time)

              Applicants should hold positions of associate professor or above in universities/institutions and meanwhile be under the age of 55. Successful applicants for short-term positions should work at the OUC for a minimum of 2 months per year.

              Young Expert (full-time)

              Applicants should be under 40 years old, with a doctoral degree, demonstrating leading excellence in research programs and great potentials for future development.

              Applicants qualified for state/provincial programs may first apply for Zhufeng Scholars Program(full-time), Fanrong Scholars Program(full-time), Young Talented Professionals(full-time) or Green Card Scholars Program(part-time), and work at OUC after peer review. Successful applicants will be given priority for recommendations for state/provincial programs mentioned above.

                

              1. Zhufeng/Fanrong Scholars Program (full-time)

              Distinguished Professors are divided into 3 levels. The program aims to attract and develop leading academic figures who are of advanced international level and work full-time at our university.

                

              2. Master Scholars Program .

              Professors are divided into 2 levels.

              The program aims to attract and develop master teachers. Applicants should hold positions of associate professor or above in universities/institutions and have a long time experience teaching core courses for undergraduates.

                

              3. Recruitment Program for Young Talented Professionals

              Scholars are divided into 3 levels.

              Applicants should demonstrate potentials for future development and show remarkable qualities.

                

              4. Green Card Scholars Program

              Visiting professors/ chair professors

              The program aims to bring in well-known scholars from overseas who hold positions of associate professor or above in universities/institutions in a flexible way Successful applicants should work at OUC for a minimum of 2 months per year.

                

              5. Young Teachers Program

              Applicants should have a PhD degree from a prestigious overseas or home university/institution, and demonstrate expertise in research and potentials for future achievements. In principle, applicants should graduate from high-level universities or academic institutions during their undergraduate and postgraduate period. Their management is based on post-doctoral teaching or appointment system.

                

              6. Post-Doctors (Research)

              Applicants should be PhD recipients and selected by professors or major project investigators.

               

              Salary

              In accordance with the actual situations of each discipline, OUC will provide platform development and research start-up funds and housing subsidies. For those applicants who are selected in National, Provincial or College Talent Programs, rental university apartments will be offered (80% of average apartment rent in the neighborhood, and the rent can be covered by Housing Subsidy from the university). For those who will hold full-time positions in the university, spousal employment and assistance in school admissions for their children (not applicable to the Young Talented Professionals program) will be provided and job conditions are open for further negotiation.

                

              1. Distinguished Professors for “Zhufeng/Fanrong Scholars Program”

              Level I: Annual salary: CNY 800,000(and performance salary CNY 0-20,0000); Housing subsidy: CNY 1200,000; Research start-up funds: no more than CNY 3000,000 in Zhufeng and no more than 1000,000 in Fanrong.

              Level II: Annual salary: CNY 600,000(and performance salary CNY 0-20,0000); Housing subsidy: CNY 1000,000; Research start-up funds: no more than CNY 2000,000 in Zhufeng and no more than CNY 800,000 in Fanrong.

              Level III: Annual salary: CNY 400,000 (and performance salary CNY 0-20,0000); Housing subsidy: CNY 800,000; Research start-up funds: no more than CNY 1000,000 in Zhufeng and no more than CNY 500,000 in Fanrong.

                

              2. Green Card Scholars Program

              Guest Professor: Annual allowance: CNY 200,000; performance salary: CNY 0-100,000; Research start-up funds: no more than CNY 500,000

              Visiting Professor, Annual allowance: CNY 150,000; performance salary: CNY 0-100,000; no more than CNY 300,000

                

              3. Recruitment Program for Young Talented Professionals

              Level I: Annual salary: CNY 350,000; Housing subsidy: CNY 600,000; Research start-up funds: no more than CNY 800,000 for science majors and no more than 400,000 for arts majors.

              Level II: Annual salary: CNY 300,000; Housing subsidy: CNY 300,000; Research start-up funds: no more than CNY 600,000 for science majors and no more than CNY 300,000 for arts majors.

              Level III: Annual salary: CNY 250,000; Housing subsidy: CNY 150,000; Research start-up funds: no more than CNY 300,000 for science majors and no more than CNY 150,000 for arts majors.

                

              4.Young Teachers

              Annual salary: CNY 150,000; Housing subsidy: CNY 100,000; Research start-up funds: CNY 20,000-30,000.

              Post-doctoral teachers are also to be provided CNY 60,000 a year as Living & housing subsidy from Qingdao Municipal Government (for 2 years); CNY 200,000 for staying at Qingdao.

                

              5. Post-Doctors (Research)

              Annual salary: CNY 140,000 (include Living & housing subsidy from Qingdao Municipal Government); CNY 200,000 for staying at Qingdao.

                

              Candidates above who are selected in the following talent programs can gain the salary and other extra subsidies and allowances from both school talent programs and national, provincial and municipal talent programs which include the following:  

              National 1000 Talents Plan

              Long- term project: One-off subsidy: CNY 2500,000; Academic research fund: CNY 3000,000-5000,000 for overseas experts;

              Short-tome project: One-off subsidy: CNY 1500,000;

              Young overseas experts: One-off subsidy: CNY 1500,000; Academic research fund: CNY 1000,000-3000,000

              Chang Jiang Scholars Program

              Distinguished professors: Allowance: CNY 1000,000; Housing subsidy: CNY 500,000.

              Young Chang Jiang Scholars: Allowance: CNY 300,000.

              Taishan Scholars Program

              Distinguished professors: Allowance: CNY 1500,000; Academic team allowance and fund: 500,000; Housing subsidy: CNY 300,000.

              Young scholars: Allowance: CNY 500,000; Academic fund: 500,000.

              Aoshan Talent Program for Qingdao National Laboratory of Marine Science and Technology

              Leading scientists: Annual allowance: CNY 1000,000-1200,000; Academic research fund: CNY 3000,000-5000,000;

              Excellent scientists: Annual allowance: CNY 600,000-800,000; Academic research fund: CNY 2000,000-3000,000;
